Chinwe Chukwudi receives Bill and Melinda Gates travel award for ASM Microbe 2024 in Atlanta

Dr Chinwe Chukwudi, an African Postdoctoral Training Initiative (APTI) fellow currently working on population genomics studies of Human and Animal African Trypanosomes at the Vaccine Research Centre, University of Nigeria Nsukka, received the Bill and Melinda Gates travel award or Scientists From Low and Low-Middle Income Countries from the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) to present her work titled “Undiagnosed and unreported Human African Trypanosomiasis cases in non-HAT focus: A cryptic threat to HAT/NTD elimination” at the ASM Microbe 24 in Atalanta, USA. The conference was held at the Georgia World Congress Center from 13-17 June 2024.
